This Wireless CarPlay/Android Auto retrofit solution from Unique Auto Developments® is a great addition to modernise your Land Rover. This enables you to use your favourite navigation apps on your phone such as Google Maps and Waze, listen to music, read messages, and everything your phone can do, you can do it on your car’s factory screen and stereo.
All original Land Rover displays and menus, including navigation and reversing camera display are fully retained. Easily switch between Land Rover display and CarPlay/Android Auto display via a long button press on the steering wheel and you can skip songs with your wheel button too!
You may wish to enhance the car’s visibility by adding our hazard perception front/rear cameras to automatically recognise hazard on the road.
DIY installation is required, however fitting tools and detailed fitting instructions are included. You can also have it fitted by one of our trusted installers.

Just had it installed a few days ago on my 2012 Supercharged. So far, extremely happy with it. I had started to install it myself, but by the time I got to removing the vents I realized:
1. I didn’t have enough time to finish the job
2. I didn’t want to scratch up the interior of the car
So I put the car back together and found a local auto sound shop who was happy to do it for me. This ended up being the right call. They did an amazing job, and I had them install the USB outlet in the center console under the arm rest, next to the original iPod and USB outlet.
The audio folks ended up taking about 8 hours to do the install, and they had to disassemble the dash twice since it wasn’t working correctly at first.
When I purchased it I also purchased the “Unique IDCore USB flash drive” for software update. I can tell you don’t bother, there’s nothing on it and you don’t need it.
So far, very happy with the purchase. AirPlay works wirelessly when I get in the car, and still have access to all the other features. You have to remember to go back to “Aux” audio sometimes if you’re using other sources, but is an extremely well integrated system.
