The screen requires constant 12 volts together with ignition switched 12v from the car in order to switch on. If the screen does not power on, it will be down to one of these feeds.

Power going to the screen can be tested by unplugging the 4 pin plug on the power loom and probing with a multimeter, both RED and YELLOW pins should have 12v+ power with ignition switched ON.

Red wire – ACC 12v+

Yellow wire – Constant 12v+

If no power detected on probing either of the pins, this points to an issue with one of the fuses in the car.

To determine which, it is useful to test the 3 x 12v sockets in the car to check these are operational, and then look into replacement of the relevant fuses.

We have previously found possible causes can include, but are not limited to a blown fuse FA6 and fuse 45, which would cause no power on one or both of these feeds (refer to cars fusebox covers for fuse locations).
